CONOR CURRIE
SHORT SUMMARY
There's many landmark moments in my life that helped build me up to where I am now. From getting told off for using all of the printer paper for drawing covers for all the video game ideas I had in my head as a child, to joining the ICT Club in Primary School feeling like a triple-a developer after making an incredibly simple scratch game, to my parents buying me RPG Maker for Christmas, a relatively simple engine that I spent thousands of hours in, to now undergoing this as an official degree with knowledge of industry software. Game Design has always been my dream career, and always something I've had an incredible amount of passion for.

I enjoy this as a medium so much because I've always seen it as the best way to create a new world, from simple, addictive concepts, to full-blown narrative-based adventures, I've always been immersed in concept after concept that I've managed to think of. To then begin learning Unreal Engine at Ulster University was a blessing, as I found many ways to bring these concepts to life. I discovered a particular love for UI Design especially, enjoying the art side of developing intuative, creative interfaces without the restraint of needing to know how to create traditional drawn art.

Most of my favourite games are RPGs, such as Mother 3 and Fire Emblem. I also have a love for open-world games, such as Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring. Outside of the world of games, I enjoy music, playing the violin and currently in the process of learning the Guitar. In addition to this, I enjoy filmmaking and writing.
